This allows a complete study of serious issues in the male and to obtain sperm where it does not exist in the ejaculate (either due to a disorder in its production or due to a vasectomy) for subsequent assisted reproduction treatments (ICSI). Carried out as an out-patients procedure under local or general anaesthetic. It involves obtaining a sample from the testicular tissue for its study and subsequent cryopreservation.
The patient is then discharged from hospital in a few hours and the assisted reproduction specialists then have the material necessary to allow the execution of numerous treatments if necessary.
